I didn't notice the issue with the cards in my copy of Tin Realm. maybe because I was in one of the later shipping waves.

How about Steve Jackson games like Melee and Wizard with Micro quests like Deathtest? I played the micro quests a ton solo when I was young. Great times and memories. :)

I recently picked up both of the Corny Gron books from EF and was happy to see you covering them! In my opinion the Adventure's Guide is both a campaign setting and an interactive tome of southern Polish folklore and mythology. Although many of the original names have been altered to make the setting more fantastical, everything in the book has roots in both the folklore and history of the Carpathian mountains, and the political factions described in the book seem to correspond to regional empires and entities circa 18th century. Pretty cool and immersive if you are into historical-themed fantasy.

Frustrating to hear that the dry erase player boards are not available yet as they look great! I know you mentioned you use alternative stands for the cardboard standees - do you know offhand which brand you used? I was thinking about getting some but want to make sure they will accommodate LoD standees.

Thanks for another great review TDD. I enjoyed your review of solo RPGs, Caves & Catacombs & Ker Nethalas to be specific. I plan on getting these and incorporating the old game Outdoor Survival by Avalon Hill (Ebay) for my solo games as well for Hex crawling.

You're really good at adapting some of these games into a solo RPG toolkit, and I'm beginning to wonder if a designer/developer collab is in your future (like the "Automa brought to you by" phenomenon with Stonemaier games). I think your insight would add value to so many of these recent crawl/adventure systems in a crowdfunding campaign, specifically ones where the main product isn't *technically* designed for pure solo play. Also, I'd totally grab those acrylic standees in a heartbeat if they were up for sale, either on their store or in another campaign. I'd part with the cost of an expansion for them, honestly, though a little "expansion-lite" content with the acrylic kit would definitely sweeten the deal.

Interesting discussion. I wasn’t a huge fan of this one at the end of the day and ended up selling it. I’m MUCH more excited for dungeons of infinity, and waste knights sandbox mode.

I would to try some of the adventure or dungeon crawl games. I go to the game store on the board game night and people play thr other types of games. And then people in general are playing the magic card games and some people ply the warhammer.

Secrets of the lost Tomb - a) I sold it as I just never managed to play it b) the creator Chris once told me he preferred the updated secrets of the lost station. Have you played this one as well? If so, what do you think of both?

Regret not picking up the upgrade pack. I got first printing and as soon as I got it it was announced that an update would be coming along with the 2nd printing so I delayed getting into it. Then for some reason I skipped backing the upgrade, silly me.

Nice! Exciting to see. I am one that prefers the cardboard standees, as the black outline/background ensures that all the fine edge shapes and detail stand (no pun intended) out. But the long term durability of acrylic is definitely very appealing. Hmm…

Somehow, I completely missed that there was an acrylic standees option. /facepalm

I recognize many of those legendary items on the book from the song "Legend Of The High King" if the league of dungeoneers OST of the stretch goal that is now available on Spotify and UA-cam. It's an amazing song!
